If you go to San Francisco you must see the Golden Gate Bridge.  It is the thing to do in San Francisco.  I recommend that you walk the bridge.  It will be windy and cold and it will be beautiful.  That is why it is the most photographed bridge in the world.

Built in 1937 the Golden Gate Bridge has come to symbolized San Francisco because it is more of a work of art than just a metal structure.  It's iconic spans. orange color and sweeping main cables and 746-foot tall towers are what draw over 10 million tourist.  Just a warning, with all of these visitors be prepared for crowds but,  it is definately worth it.

Another great thing about Fisherman's Wharf is that you can also ride the fabled San Francisco Streetcars.  You can use them to get to all of the wonderful things to do in San Francisco.  Make the trip, see the sights, take the tours and just enjoy some of the best that San Francisco has to offer.
